Affiliate disclosure
Last updated 4 November 2026.
What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is a commercial link. If you buy through it, the retailer may pay Curated Glam a commission. The commission does not change the job of the sentence around it: a recommendation should still be something we would say without being paid.
Under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010), advertising must not be misleading. A commercial relationship should be obvious. We also treat affiliate mentions as advertising that ought to be distinguishable from a purely editorial line, which is the spirit of the AANA Code of Ethics on distinguishable advertising.
Where you will see it
- On the shop, above the products.
- On a journal story that mentions a product we may earn from, near the top of the piece.
- In the footer of every page.
- On this page.
When a link is live, it will be marked so you can tell it leaves this site. Placeholder links say so, and they open example.com, which is not a checkout.
Prices
We do not invent prices. The retailer sets the price, and it can change. If a price matters, look at it on the retailer’s page before you buy.
The directory is separate
A commission does not buy a mention in the directory. Artist listings on this version are not paid for. The Premium label on an example card is a tier, not a receipt. When paid premium listings open, they will be labelled on the for artists page and on the listing itself.
She’s Organised Pack
The She’s Organised Pack is an idea, not a product you can buy. There is no price because there is no sale. The card on the shop says coming soon.
