Privacy policy

Curated Glam is based in Melbourne, Australia. You can reach us at hello@curatedglam.com. In this policy, “we” means Curated Glam.

We handle personal information with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) in mind. Not every small site is legally an APP entity. We still use those principles as our standard. If we later add accounts, payments or a mailing list, we will update this page before we do.

What this site collects

This version of the site is static. There are no accounts and no checkout.

• If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to send: your name, email address, and the message. The contact form does not store that message on the website. It opens an email in your own email app.
• The host, Cloudflare, may process technical data such as your IP address in the ordinary course of serving the pages and keeping the service secure. We do not use that data to build a profile of you.
• We do not run our own analytics or advertising cookies on this version.

Why we use it

We use email you send us to reply, to consider a listing, and to correct something that is wrong. We do not sell personal information. We do not add you to a mailing list because you wrote to us. We do not have a newsletter yet. If we start one, we will ask first, and you will be able to unsubscribe, in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

Hosting and overseas processing

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process technical data, including IP addresses in server logs, on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. Their privacy policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Affiliate links

Some pages link out to products. A retailer you visit has its own privacy policy and may use cookies after you leave this site. We do not receive your payment details. On this version, shop and article product links point at example.com and are not live shops. See the affiliate disclosure for how commissions will work.

The checklist list

If you sign up for the Event Beauty Countdown, the form sends your email address to Kit (kit.com), which may store it on servers outside Australia, including the United States. We use it to send the checklist and the occasional note about the journal. Every email has an unsubscribe link, in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Until the form address is added in the site settings, the page does not pass your address on. Kit’s own privacy policy applies once a signup is received.

Favourites

Hearts on artist cards are saved in this browser only, using local storage. Curated Glam does not receive that list. If you email the shortlist, you choose who it goes to, and the names and links are in that email. If you copy a share link, anyone with the link can see those names.

How long we keep email

We keep an enquiry for as long as we need it to answer you and to keep a record of a listing conversation, then we delete it or de-identify it. You can ask us to delete a message sooner, unless we need to keep it for a legal reason.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct it, by emailing hello@curatedglam.com. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) via the details on oaic.gov.au.

Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. Where a change is significant, we will say so on this page in plain language.
